Heaven awaits in this lovely film starting the magnificently feminine and talented actress Juliette Binoche, the iconic Dame Judi Dench and the heavenly handsome Johnny Depp!!!! Is that enough to melt your taste-buds? This movie is so lovely, set in a breathtaking small town in Burgundy France, a fantasy story of a beautiful young woman and her little girl who set up home and shop in diverse little town’s until the wind speaks to them and blows them onto the next.
Mother and daughter travel with the adventurous wind in high spirits until they discover this little French town and set up a Chocolateria. The town’s people who are completely controlled by the Count banish their warm soles from the mother and little girl at the Count’s request because she is trying to sell her chocolate during Lent, yet the lovely Vianne and her little girl stand strong in their beliefs until the town’s people start to open their hearts to this beautiful woman and her imaginative daughter Anouk. Enter Johnny Depp and his charismatic free spirit on the River Tarn, the town’s people call him a river rat yet Vianne see’s otherwise and seduces him with her chocolate. I’m not going to ruin the story for you by telling you what happens as its such a delightful one and I can’t recommend it highly enough.
