Have your portrait sketched in Rome..

The sketch artists at the top of the Spanish Steps in Rome offer a great little treat that help to bring home memories from your stay, and there are the occasional in Piazza Navona also.  Considering their raw talent its wonder they only charge such a small amount per portrait as the standard of what some of them produce is pretty good.  Do negotiate though as they are not all as reasonable as they should be.

Select your artist carefully as some of them specialise in caricatures and as fun as that can be to see of other people, its not my ideal portrait to put in a little frame from a most memorable trip to Rome.  Each artist has a display of their work, often famous faces they have sketched from photographs such as Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt which are a draw card, they really are so clever and I imagine with the number of tourists each day in Rome that visit them, they probably rake in quite a pretty penny, lets hope so for their unique talent is so charming.
