On my stop over in Paris on the way to look for an evening dress I stumbled across Paris American Art in a small side street in the 6th arrondissement, this grand looking store was filled with treasures that I wanted to fill my home with, wall to wall gilded frames from all walks of life. The stores owners were sisters, a family business that had me green with envy. I decided to keep it small and compact and after talking to the lovely owners I settled on one of these little antique gilded glass frames shown above with an elegant bow at the top, uneven ball feet and spring back for only the most treasured photo. Every time I look at it the memories are so dear to me, and it makes me wonder who its original owner was. I feel lucky to have stumbled across this exceptional store. xmm |
