You can choose to stop at a local bacaro for tastings of ‘Cicchetti’ which are small portions of tasty food normally served hot or cold, similar to Spanish tapas. Fish, meat or vegetarian dishes are served at the bacaro, and traditionally the most popular cicchetti are crostini with codfish, fried mozzarella, polenta with fried vegetables and fried squid.
