Depending on the wind and weather conditions, we may head south to places such as Santa Cesarea Terme, Santa Maria di Leuca, or Castro, which is within the coastal Park Otranto. Or, we may head north towards Torre dell'Orso. This coast is one of Puglia’s crown jewels. The day begins in Trani, one of the most beautiful cities along the Adriatic Sea. Trani is famous for it's Romanesque cathedral directly facing the sea, dedicated to St. Nicholas the Pilgrim, as well as its ancient harbour, which provides an elegant setting of fishing boats and fine restaurants.
We will visit the countryside between Trani and Andria, this land between Murgia plateau and the sea is known for its outstanding agricultural products. We will loose ourselves in the rich tastes of the famous oil of coratina olives, tasty burrata cheese and the warm mellow notes of Moscato wine.
Finally we visit Castel del Monte, the mysterious castle built in the 13th Century by Holy Roman Emperor Federick II and is an example of architectural perfection in Puglia, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
