A day trip that is an exploration to the heart of the Chianti Classico, the defined area that begins just South of Florence and reaches all the way to the North of Siena. Whilst visiting the wonders of the area and tasting the famous Chianti wines, you will come to understand the concept of terroir, and you will learn how Chianti Classico is made, how to distinguish the characteristics of the native grape varietals, and much more.
Your driver will meet you directly at your hotel in Florence, you will enjoy a short drive as you head into the beautiful wine region. From your air-conditioned car you will be able to admire the fantastic countryside, its grape and olive fields, ancient farmhouses and villages.
Heading straight for the vineyards & wine cellars for a private tour of a winery to understand how the wines are obtained, learning everything from viticulture to the winemaking and you will have time to taste some of the best wines found in Tuscany made at these vineyards. You will also have time to relax and enjoy the experience. At the end of the tasting you have the possibility to purchase wines directly from the winery if you would like and to ship the wines home.
Afterwards you will enjoy tasting a range of Chianti Classico current vintage combined with a typical Tuscan lunch.
You will then continue to the famous medieval town of Siena, where a licensed local expert guide will lead you through it’s steep medieval streets, admiring the splendid palaces until you reach the Cathedral, Palazzo Comunale and Piazza del Campo where the historical Palio race takes place every year.
We can journey to San Gimignano or other towns of your preference, you will be taken back to Florence or your accommodation in Tuscany at the end of the day.

This Antinori-owned winery, a rolling estate tucked into the heart of Chianti Classico, is as well loved for its fascinating historical setting as it is for its fine Chianti Classico Riserva di Badia a Passignano wine. The 215 hectare estate encircles a beautiful ancient abbey still owned by the Vallombrosian monks.
Since its founding some historians claim the year 395, even then the monks were known for their winemaking expertise; a fascinating link to the area’s long winemaking history came actually with the 1983 discovery of a thousand-year- old vine near the estate. Next, you will enjoy the CLASSICI ANTINORI tasting menu. To start in the historic cellars of the very same Abbey. Afterwards, an extra virgin olive oil tasting is followed by lunch at the Osteria with dishes paired with the wines as Cervaro della Sala, Chianti Classico Riserva Badia a Passignano, Brunello di Montalcino, Tignanello.
After this delicious lunch, we continue our adventure in our private car, where we find ourselves deep in the heart of this region. A large estate amongst the olive trees and vineyards. We arrive just in time for a tasting of the families superb Chianti Classico. After our tasting, enjoy a relaxing and scenic drive back to your hotel.

Private Truffle Hunting Experience, Cooking Class and Lunch in Tuscany

Marvel at the beautiful Tuscan landscape hundreds or even thousands of feet below. Flights take place near dawn and dusk when the wind is at its calmest.
Arrive at the launch site to be welcomed by your pilot. Our pilots are experienced professionals with Commercial Balloon Pilot Licenses and many hundreds of hours of experience, so you’re in safe hands. The pilot will introduce you to hot air ballooning and give you a full safety briefing.
Climb into the balloon basket for take-off, rising smoothly towards the clouds. An experience perfect for memorable photographs, amazing views of the patchwork landscape and possible wildlife sightings.

FLORENCE & TASTE OF TUSCANY - HALF DAY BIKE TOUR
Ride through Florence and out into the Tuscan Hills with a private tour guide visiting a Renaissance Villa for a wine tasting and light Tuscan snack.
The meeting point is located at the doorway to the Chianti countryside thus avoiding a ride through the throngs of tourists in the centre of Florence, taking you on an enjoyable ride with little traffic and wonderful views.
The journey starts out with a 2 km uphill ride, there are frequent stops that will be made so that you can enjoy the views on the way up to the top of the hill. Once you arrive at the top, you will be riding the bikes through the neighbourhood of the local Florentine nobility and their Villas making your way to a famous Renaissance villa tucked away in the hills behind Florence.
You will stop and tour the villa before heading into the ancient wine cellar to do a wine and olive oil tasting accompanied by a light Tuscan snack of local products. All products are produced on premises, and being such a small family production, they are only sold locally. Your return leg back to Florence will take you by the spectacular Piazzale Michelangelo that presents one of the best views over Florence and you will stop to have the opportunity to take photos. Continuing downhill from there and back into Florence you will arrive into the San Niccolo' area, where you can head straight to a favourite gelateria to top off the perfect half day outing!
